Reviewed the by-laws for operation of the Park - They must be completed and
agreed upon by the Board then ratified by the members of the Park.
Members must ratify - if they want changes they must be made prior to their vote -
copies will be mailed to each member for review prior to a general Park
membership meeting. The meeting date will be included with the copy of the
by-laws.
Voting - ballots will mailed May 5, 2011 for the 2 positions of Trustee (Michael
Bates & Butch Blackburn) - Larry Smith decided not to run so his position for
trustee will not be continued. The Board through advise with the attorney felt that
5 trustees would be sufficient along with 4 officers (pres; vp; secretary; treasurer)
Persons elected to these trustee positions will be in office until 2013.
Michael Bates, Butch Blackburn & Jim Kusan are 3 members who responded to
wanting to run for the office of Trustee. However, since elections were delayed
due to wanting to get the By-laws worded correctly the Board decided to allow
write-ins. If you or someone you would like to be a trustee wants one of the
trustee positions complete the write-in section. In order to complete a write-in you
must be a member of the Firemen's Park Association, Inc. & have paid your fees
or have made arrangements to pay them. In order to vote the same applies.
